Not always the Photographer

Hey there, my beautiful niece and her sweet fiancé got #married on Labor Day at the most beautiful wedding venue, #Bluemont #Vineyard in #Virginia and I was the guest this time. It was a perfect day to get married, the sky was blue with pretty white puffy clouds and there were a hundred white chairs set up on the lawn with an amazing view of the valley below. Who hasn't dreamed about getting married in a beautiful spot like this one?

My handsome brother walked his daughter down the #aisle to meet her #groom where the stone wall met the valley below. It was a beautiful #ceremony, but I didn't start taking #pictures until after the ceremony. Because I am also a #wedding #photographer, out of habit I picked up my #camera and began to wander around the barn and asking for group shots of wedding #guests together, I walked outside and took some #candid #photography which I always enjoy most because the #emotions in candids are so real and I never get tired of food & #dessert photography, so I took a picture of the beautifully styled wedding #cake with white #fondant, a big bow and some #flowers on top.

I really enjoyed the time that I got to spend being with my family and taking pictures of everyone. I also took this exciting shot of the bride and groom taking part in a Kurdish #dance in #celebration of their matrimony.

I chose to be a wedding and events photographer because they are always happy times for everyone and I get to capture those moments for families and friends to reminisce about for many years to come. I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Venue: Bluemont Vineyard, Virginia
