Yup, I did it again. I baked more cookies this past weekend, what fun it was! I went to my old standbys for this Thanksgiving. We've only been in our new home for about 3 months now and we are still trying to figure things out with this new home. I really wanted to have Thanksgiving dinner at home this year, but since I did not yet have a kitchen table and really this house is too small for entertaining too many people (that's a whole other discussion for another blog post later).
Anyway, I baked quite a bit more than usual. I made Oatmeal Moon Pies as most of you already know and shared them with my family. I also baked strawberry cupcakes for my sweet niece, and peanut butter bars just because I like them and last, but not least, I made Santa's kiss cookies for my awesome and wonderful mother, they're her favorite.
I went to bed last night and for the first time in my life I dreamed about doing a special photoshoot with Santa's Kisses aka Peanut Butter Blossoms. I dreamed about how I was going to stage these cookies for my latest photoshoot. This is very serious stuff. I don't have dreams at night when I sleep at least I don't have dreams that I remember when I am fully awake. I've been taking pictures for weddings and have had some fun with taking pictures at weddings, especially when there's a cake or cupcakes involved, although the brides have been very beautiful and so sweet, I enjoyed every minute of working with them. But, I think this dream says that what my heart really desires is to take pictures of desserts or food. That doesn't mean I'm going to stop doing weddings and events. It just means that I might focus a little more on my food photography for awhile until wedding season returns.
Since today is "Giving Tuesday" I'm inclined to offer one free photo session to anyone who books with me today. It can be a dessert photo session, an event, family session, or even a small wedding. Why not, it's a season for giving, right? email me at ConsolvoImages@gmail.com
BTW this is not the photoshoot I dreamed of doing!
